The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun has charged the newly promoted senior officers to embrace Operational efficiency and also imbibe the culture of accountability in their day-to-day activities.
Speaking at the decorating ceremony of 39 Newly Promoted senior officers, comprises 20 Assistant Inspectors General of Police and 19 Commissioners of Police.
Egbetokun urged the senior officers to be decisive in the act against misconduct and also ensure fairness in their operational procedures.
The Police Boss further expressed profound appreciation to the Police Service Commission for ensuring that promotions in the police force are no longer delayed.
He further commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to better equipped and promote efficient police force adding that the President’s leadership had been instrumental in the reforms and progress being witnessed in the Force.
The IGP however noted that promotion of officers to a new rank is an additional responsibility that would help in ensuring a safer country for all citizenry, which the Nigeria Police Force keeps working towards in accordance with the rule of law.
The new AIGs are; Fasuba Olabode, CP Special Fraud Unit, Force Headquarters; Musibau Ajani, CP Admin, FCID; Aliyu Musa, CP Katsina State Command; Patrick Atayero, former CP Explosive Ordinance Disposal EOD; Force Headquarters, CP Anti Fraud section FCID, Director of Sports Nigeria Police Force and Deputy Commissioner Finance and Administration Force Headquarters; Gyogon Grimah, CP Cross Rivers State Command and Olaiya Mobolaji, CP Kwara State Command.
