Abbas made this known in Abuja during his goodwill remarks at a joint session of the President Bola Tinubu’s address to federal lawmakers in commemoration for this year’s democracy day.
He noted that since 2023, the 10th National Assembly has reviewed 2,263 bills, passed 186, with 51 signed into law, a good record for President’s first two years.
The Speaker urged decisive action in the power sector by diversifying into renewables, and called for urgent reforms in the mining sector to boost the economy
Following the end of the President’s address, the both chambers resolved to adjourned proceedings to June 24.
